“mugunghwa kkochi piotsseumnida”
The well-known eerie phrase uttered by the doll during the Red Light – Green Light game that catapulted the series to viral fame is set to make a comeback with another season. However, the release date has yet to be announced and it is improbable that it will air this year. Squid Game Season 2 is expected to debut in 2024, and we anticipate receiving more updates about it later this year.
What To Expect In Squid Game Season 2?
According to several interviews, Hwang plans to continue the story from where the first season ended. He may introduce different plot twists as he left various clues in the previous season. The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Hwang and he hinted that he has several ideas for what Squid Game Season 2 could entail.
“I’d like to explore that storyline—what is going on between those two brothers? And then I could also go into the story of that recruiter in the suit who plays the game of Ddakji with Gi-Hun and gives him the card in the first episode. And, of course, we could go with Gi-Hun’s story as he turns back, and explore more about how he’s going to navigate through his reckoning with the people who are designing the games.”
It is impossible to predict the exact outcome of the unfolding plot, but it is certain that Squid Game Season 2 will offer a captivating and stimulating experience for those who tune in. Our expectation is for yet another triumph in the form of a dynamic and engaging narrative. On another note, do check out my review of Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse!
