Tokyo Revengers Season 3 was confirmed by Crunchyroll a considerable time ago. The highly popular anime Tokyo Revengers can be described as a mutant in the recent anime wave. And, that is why it has garnered such a huge fan following. However, the second season failed to deliver all the action-packed gang wars which was the reason for the success of the first season. Hopefully, season 3 will be mending its ways in that regard.

After the conclusion of the second season, which aired earlier this year, fans were prepared for another long wait. Although Liden Films has been working on the new season enthusiasts were uncertain of the release date.

This is a significant departure from the previous gap between seasons, indicating that the studio has been hard at work to minimize the anticipation for the next arc’s adaptation. This earlier release date is a pleasant surprise for fans who were expecting another long wait. The quick turnaround can be attributed to the shorter length of the second season, which consisted of only 12 episodes compared to the 25 episodes of the first season. While a specific release date has not been provided, fans can look forward to an action-packed Fall season.

Tokyo Revengers Season 3 will adapt the Tenjiku arc, which is the second to last arc in the manga series. This arc marks a crucial turning point in the story, with new gang dynamics and challenging foes awaiting the protagonist, Takemichi. The delinquent scene is constantly evolving, and Takemichi’s fight to save his friends will become increasingly difficult as he faces off against the formidable Kisaki.

Tenjiku Arc Plot Points

Season 1 of Tokyo Revengers covered the Toman, Moebius, and Valhalla arcs in 24 episodes, introducing us to the volatile world of high school delinquents. We had witnessed a journey of time travel in order to save the loved one. Takemichi’s perspective of the plot helped us appreciate the imposing and enigmatic character that Mikey is.

Season 2 focused primarily on the Black Dragon arc, which lasted 12 episodes. The Black Dragon Arc also included the “Christmas Showdown” arc from the manga. It turns out, Shiba Hakkai is the younger brother to the Black Dragon leader, Shiba Taiju, who abuses him on a regular basis, to the point that Hakkai freezes up in front of him.

Takemichi knows the future that Hakkai becomes the leader after killing his elder brother, for reasons unknown and has it absorbed under Toman. With the knowledge he has gained from the future, Takemichi takes it upon himself to prevent Hakkai from killing his older brother to prevent Toman from being corrupted.

Tokyo Revengers Season 3 viewers can expect the adaptation of the Tenjiku arc, which is known for its intense gang rivalries and high-stakes conflicts. As the second to last arc of the series, it sets the stage for a thrilling conclusion.

An Alluring Trailer

A teaser trailer for Tokyo Revengers Season 3 was released in June, providing a glimpse into the upcoming arc. The trailer showcases the escalating conflict between rival gangs and highlights the challenges that Takemichi and his friends will face.

Notably, the trailer includes scenes featuring Izana Kurokawa and Kisaki Tetta, two key antagonists in the series. It is worth mentioning that the trailer is uncensored, featuring the Manji symbol, which had previously been removed in North American releases due to its resemblance to the Swastika.

Also, the very well-known fact of Takemichi travelling back in time to save his beloved comrades will continue. The ‘Kanto Incident’ arc that was absent in the season 2 finale should definitely make a deserved appearance.

The main characters of Tokyo Revengers are expected to return for Season 3, including Takemichi Hanagaki, Manjirō Sano (Mikey), Kisaki Tetta, Inui Seishu, Kokonoi Hajime, Hakkai Shiba, Izana Kurokawa, and Kanji Mochizuki. These characters have undergone significant development throughout the series, and viewers can anticipate further growth and exploration of their relationships in the upcoming season.

In particular, the performances of Nobunaga Shimazaki and Alejandro Antonio Ruiz as Izana in both the Japanese version and the English dub have garnered praise. Izana is set to play the most crucial role as he is the primary antagonist of the Tenjiku Arc. As we all know from the manga that he is the former leader of the Tenjiku gang and also the leader of eight generation Black Dragon. So, Tokyo Revengers Season 3 might see the most harrowing fights of the series.
