AnimeCon Dhaka is a festival to promote Japanese anime\/manga culture in Bangladesh. The event bears some similarities with the ‘Summer Matsuri’ festivals that take place in Japanese cities and towns every year. AnimeCon Dhaka, similar to these festivals, hosts several merchandise and food stalls where attendees can purchase anime-related goods and enjoy Japanese food. The difference here from the festivals in Japan is that ACD only focuses on anime\/manga based stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we know, the ‘Summer Matsuri’ festivals have performances as unique attractions. Fireworks and Traditional dance are the two most notable ones. As for AnimeCon, things are a bit different. The performances focus on promoting the anime culture while catering to the taste of the native people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AnimeCon Dhaka is no exception to this beautiful phenomenon. All the anime fans already know what Cosplay is, so I do not need to go into details. Just let me mention that many professional and amateur Cosplayers will attend AnimeCon Dhaka 2022: Mirai cosplaying as your favorite anime characters. That should give you a serious excuse to go to the Con. Am I right, or am I right?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many talented Cosplayers from the Bangladesh Association of Cosplayers (BAC) will participate in the ever-popular Cosplay competition of AnimeCon Dhaka. You will get to witness their flawless recreation of famous anime characters. It will surely be a breathtaking experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japanese Food<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
After last year’s disappointment of not having any Japanese Cuisine, the attendees were hopeful that this year would be different. But, when the venue was changed to JFP, it was concluded that there would be no Japanese food this year as well. We all know that JFP does not allow outside food vendors on its premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, things have taken a turn for the better. The organizers have managed to convince Jamuna Future Park<\/a> authorities to agree to give leeway in this matter. We have reports from inside sources that the contract signed with Jamuna has a clause in it allowing Japanese Food Stall in the upcoming event. A team led by Chef Sasaki of authentic Japanese Restaurant Takumi has confirmed to come to the event to cater to the attendees with their mouthwatering food. Going to the Con is a must if you want to taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goldfish Scooping<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Another popular segment of AnimeCon Dhaka is Goldfish Scooping. It was adopted by the organizers as a reference to the ‘Summer Matsuri’ attraction famous in Japan and also highlighted in many anime. But last year, this distinguished segment was also missing, to the dismay of the attendees. The organizers received backlash for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year there will definitely be Goldfish Scooping. Organizers have assured us that they are determined to bring back the popular attraction. The thought of scooping out a Goldfish as we see in anime does pique one’s interest, doesn’t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditional Dance Performance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The traditional Japanese Dance performance is another segment that is worth looking forward to. This has been an integral part of almost every AnimeCon. The elegant and graceful moves of Japanese Culture are soothing to the eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A talented team of dancers led by Sabrina Rahman from Nrittochaya will be performing in this segment. Sabrina herself is an accomplished dancer. She told us that her team is practicing vigorously for the upcoming performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n<\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">AnimeCon Dhaka<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Japanese Thematic Decorations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\nEvery AnimeCon event in the past has showcased some form of Japanese thematic decorations. Some anime decorations as well. But, they fell short of expectations. The scale and execution were mediocre at best.<\/p>\n\n\n\nOrganizers have told us there will be decorations this year as well. Let’s hope it is something worthwhile this time around. The decorations will be an eye-candy to you if they are able to pull it off right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Competitions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\nAnimeCon Dhaka 2022: Mirai will hold several competitions throughout the course of the day. I have already mentioned the Cosplay competition. Just the thought of these makes one greedy.<\/p>\n\n\n\nMany well-known and new brands will be present. Qrio the Qurious Shop, One Stop, Aoi Sakura, Auctor, and Orient Shop are only a few of them. If you want to take your coveted anime stuff home, you should visit the Con.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Band Performance<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\nBand performance has always been a significant attraction of AnimeCon, and it will be no different this year. One thing that will be very different is that three different bands will perform this time instead of one.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe bands will perform some popular anime tracks and some famous Bangla songs. This has been the trend for years.
