House Of The Dragon Season 2 Trailers Are Out With A Bang

The highly anticipated premiere date for House of the Dragon Season 2 was revealed to be June 16 after not one but two trailers were released. The trailers depict the different sides of the show’s impending nationwide conflict, known as the Dance of the Dragons. One contingent is the Greens, driven by Aegon 2 and his mother, Alicent Hightower; the other is the Blacks, driven by Rhaenyra and Daemon.

After Aemond kills Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys and his dragon in the Season 1 finale, Westeros is headed for war. The blacks and the greens both get together their powers, mythical serpents and new partners to go head-to-head in a ridiculous, blazing fight until the very end. Just the trailers are giving a stormy vibe for the upcoming House of the Dragon Season 2.

In King’s Landing, the young King Aegon is reiterating his claim to the Iron Throne, which his half-sister Rhaenyra considers to be her legitimate inheritance from their deceased father. New & Different Things You Should Expect

We see that the war is escalating in the trailers. When an adviser tells him, “The path to victory is one of violence” Aegon 2 welcomes it too eagerly; he responds, “Good! To war then.” Rhaenyra is seen spreading out her arrangements for the contention with her kids. When she isn’t plotting, Alicent is in mourning. Ser Criston Cole rides into the fight. Troops are energized, crossbows are stacked, blades are drawn, and dragons are flying.

House of the Dragon Season 2 will broaden the scope, whereas Season 1 focused almost exclusively on the greatest noble houses of the time—the Targaryens, Velaryons, and Hightowers. We got a touch of this in the trailer for The Blacks, with a first gander at Master Cregan Stark, the Wolf of the North.
