Roadway To Loki Season 2

In the Marvel TV series “Loki,” the titular character, played by Tom Hiddleston, is taken into custody by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) for stealing the Tesseract, which is considered a “nexus event.” A TVA agent named Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, is on the hunt for a different Loki variant that has been causing trouble across various timelines. In an effort to capture this other Loki variant, Mobius enlists the help of the 2012 version of Loki, who agrees to cooperate to save himself from being punished by the TVA.

Loki and Mobius’ search for the other variant takes them to an apocalyptic event in 2050 Alabama, where they encounter the female Loki variant, Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino. Sylvie has been creating diverging timelines by stealing reset charges and using them to escape through time portals. Loki decides to team up with Sylvie, and together they journey through various timelines, including one where they encounter other variants of Loki at the end of time.

Sylvie reveals to Loki that all the TVA employees are variants who once lived on other planets, including Earth, but they are unaware of this fact. Determined to expose the TVA’s secrets, Sylvie returns to the organization to disrupt their operations, while Loki attempts to ally with her. However, their partnership is short-lived, as they end up in a fight.

In the Void, a place at the end of time where all pruned timelines go, Loki encounters other variants of himself, including a boastful one who is played by Richard E. Grant. Meanwhile, Sylvie manages to get her hands on Ravonna’s TemPad, a device that can control time portals and prunes herself from the timeline. Ravonna, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, seeks answers from B-15 about the TVA’s origins.

As the story progresses, Loki and Sylvie reach the end of time, where they meet He Who Remains, played by Jonathan Majors. He Who Remains is a version of Kang the Conqueror, who is revealed to be a scientist who united Kangs from different timelines. While some Kangs cooperated, others sought multiverse conquest, leading to a multiverse war. To restore order, Kang harnessed Alioth to prune timelines that he deemed were not sacred, and the TVA was created for that purpose. He offers Loki and Sylvie a choice: kill him and unleash chaos or run the TVA with him.

Loki is willing to consider Kang’s offer, but Sylvie, consumed by her desire for revenge, kills Kang. The TVA employees learn that they are variants, and Ravonna leaves with the TemPad to an unknown timeline. Before dying, Kang warns Loki that by killing him, Sylvie has unleashed a multiverse of madness. Sylvie then sends Loki back to the TVA, but he is transported to an alternate timeline where the organization doesn’t recognize him.
